The story began with a young lady, driven and dedicated to sharing
her musical gifts to the world. Through years of cultivating her act across 3
continents, she is here, and more ready than ever to let the next chapter of
this story unfold.
Tiwa had her album listening this evening at the luxurious Wheatbaker Hotel,
Ikoyi, Lagos reportedly owned by the Danjuma (General Theophilus Danjuma to be
more precise). Tiwaonibaje Savage, better known as Tiwa Savage had gone
through several months of putting together bodywork of soul lifting music that
is recommendable for as doctor’s prescription, lol. and yet of course an award
winning worthiness.
Tiwa is a songbird
that is musically blessed, having done music with beyonce and many more world
acclaimed musical act, tiwa seems it fit and better to rep. her country and
bring out her talent from the home front to support and help improve our
entertainment standard in the country. The detectably sonorous one and her
management company headed by her fiance -Teebillz & her record company-
Mavin Records, where Don Jazzy is the Capo di tutti Capi, finally hosted many
to her album listening gig. The album titled; “once upon a time” is a
nineteen (19)-track album with two (2) bonus tracks to compliment us for
listening.
It was electrifying
as we all enjoyed the moment, melody, ambience and the songs as the
performances rolled on. Though at the
time of this listen party, most of the mavin crew where not present for they
had to perform simultaneously at the commencement of the Big Brother Africa
presently holding in South Africa. Guest present at the listening party were
the likes of Waje, Banky W, Lynxxx, Uti, Linda Ikeji, Eku Edewor, Dolapo Oniru,
Amb. Mohammed Buhari, General Pype, Olisa Adibua (Glo Naija sing), Victor
Edwards (Nobles Media), Yemi Sax, Lamborghini, AY just to mention a few. Loads
of people were there to cheer tiwa up and appreciate good music as delivered by
the most talented singer in Nigeria, Tiwa Savage. Go out there and grab a copy
of this album, it is first of her work and if you love good music, get a copy,
I mean buy a copy today. No piracy is allowed o, obinna iwotago? Lol.
